Patrice MOOR
Patrice was born in Luxembourg but has now made London her home. Initially after training and working as a lawyer, Patrice made the decision that her natural talents lay in art. She now works full time as an artist focusing her attention on the beauty of inanimate objects giving them life and character.

I work in oil on canvas and the subjects of my still lives are tulips, vessels, skulls and lemons (as well as the occasional apple and pear). I also paint portraits of people and dogs and I feel that, in the treatment of the subject of my painting, I make no distinction between animate and inanimate objects. The canvases I work on range in size from very small to huge.
My most vivid memory of my grandparents house in Holland were the paintings; portraits and landscapes of the Dutch school. These old masters have undoubtedly been a great influence on my work as have Morandi, Giacometti, Holbein and Chardin.
