Nikki Taylor

Nikki Taylor graduated from Wimbledon in 2003 with BA (Hons). She studied under Allan Sly, one of the country's foremost figurative sculptors, specialising in classical life sculpting with a contemporary twist.

She pursues themes of energy and movement, human and elmental and studies the relationship between them; this is superbly translated in her wonderful wire work.

Nikki's figures are sculpted freehand and individually from mild steel wire mesh, the guage varying depending on size of each piece "...an industrial material, this mesh has a magical sensitivity, the perfect medium for sensual sculpture!.."

Nikki also works in resin / metal finishes and bronze, suitable for outdoor pieces. She also works to life size scale and is happy to take commissions.
