Bernadette ASH
Having spent her entire working life making cool, black, white and grey images, by the time she resigned her post as Superintendent Radiographer in 1973 she had an uncontrollable urge to paint. Living as she does, near Minehead in Somerset, she is literally surrounded by inexhaustible supplies of raw materials - i.e. colours.
So, very sensibly, she started at Byam Shaw, and then enrolled at Camberwell, where she gained a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art(Painting) in 1977. We met her at the end of the 1990's, and,in the Summer of 2000, she had her first Knightsbridge show, with fifty canvases at Patisserie Valerie 215 Brompton Road,SW3 where we were Curators of Exhibitions.
Now, seven years on, we are delighted to present her first solo show with Highgate Fine Art - also with over forty canvases which are literally bursting with life and colour. We feel quite sure you will enjoy these exuberant works, so please bring your friends as well!
