Ben BAKER

Trained at Hornsey School of Art 1960-1966,Ben BAKER is a conservationist who loves painting some of London's remoter corners. His speciality is painting some of the finer Parks and Gardens in which London abounds, such as Canonbury Square, Islington Green, Finsbury Park, Kenwood and some of the quieter corners of Middle Temple. Ben mixes his own pigments and prepares his own canvases; using a seventeenth century technique he achieves texture and space, giving his paint more life and a rough, lustrous finish.

His Swiss born wife Annemarie LANGHARD was also at Hornsey with Ben from 1960 to 1966, and like her husband, she also teaches.
